Navigating Life as an Empath
by Candice Erickson-Perham founder of Indiglow Soul, Healer
As someone who has walked the often-overwhelming path of being an empath, I know firsthand the challenges of navigating a world that constantly asks for more than you’re ready to give. For a long time, I felt like I was absorbing the emotions and energy of everyone around me. Whether it was a close friend, a family member, or even strangers, I struggled to create boundaries and protect my energy. Sound familiar?
If you’re reading this, you likely know what it feels like to walk into a room and instantly sense the tension, anxiety, or joy of those around you. You might carry these emotions home with you, feeling drained and overwhelmed without even knowing why. For years, I believed that was just part of being sensitive. But then, everything changed when I started my healing journey.
How the Empowered Empath Program started
I created the Empowered Empath Program because I know that being an empath can feel like both a blessing and a burden. But here’s the thing—it doesn’t have to be that way. My healing journey taught me that being an empath is a powerful gift, one that can be used to heal, connect, and uplift—but only if we know how to protect our energy and set boundaries.
Episode 8 of my podcast Healers with Humor is incredibly close to my heart because it’s not just about explaining what an empath is. It’s about sharing the lessons I’ve learned and the tools I’ve developed to help empaths like you step into your power.
Healing for Empaths: Tools and Boundaries
Through the Empowered Empath Program, I share practical tools for protecting your energy, setting boundaries, and learning how to navigate the world without feeling constantly drained. One of the biggest breakthroughs for me was understanding that while empathy is a gift, it also requires care and attention—just like any other strength.
Candice's Quote:
"Empathy is a gift, but without the right tools, it can also be draining. My healing journey taught me how to protect myself and still be present for others, and now I want to share that with you."
In the program, we discuss the importance of emotional healing for empaths, learning to release the energy you absorb from others, and embracing your intuition to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships with the world around you.
